About Us

Introducing SWELTR, the Dublin-based DIY rock two-piece that burst onto the music scene in October 2022 with their explosive debut single, "What's It Gonna Be?". Infused with a mosaic of vibrant childhood memories, daring teenage escapades, and the intricate threads of adult complexities, SWELTR has meticulously crafted a distinctive and powerful sound that demands attention.

Noel and Tony, immersed in the Irish punk scene, are boldly reshaping the genre by reintroducing grunge elements into the contemporary musical landscape. Their sonic journey draws from a diverse range of influences and personal experiences, skillfully interweaving these elements to deliver a unique musical experience that reconnects audiences with the raw energy of the genre in this new era.

At the creative helm of SWELTR is Tony Keyes from Blanchardstown, a masterful architect of the sonic landscape. With an impressive guitar pedal and multi-amp setup, Tony seamlessly simulates bass tones while weaving intricate guitar melodies into the fabric of the band's tunes. His grunge-style vocals, infused with a distinct Dublin flair, captivate listeners with a mix of metaphors and slang, inviting them into a world of intriguing stories and powerful messages.

Noel Dempsey from Finglas serves as the rhythmic heartbeat of SWELTR, playing a pivotal role in shaping the band's sound. As the driving force, Noel crafts rhythmic landscapes that breathe life into the musical expression of the duo. Drawing on self-taught skills, he creates beats that linger in the memory, forming the pulsating heartbeat that propels the essence of their songs with unmistakable energy and resonance.

Since their arrival in 2022, SWELTR has already achieved significant milestones, securing an interview and front-cover feature in the September 2023 issue of Totally Dublin.

In February 2024 the pair also performed and interviewed on RTE - Sessions From Oblivion. Looking ahead to 2024, the duo has exciting plans for their growing fan base, such as recording their debut EP, a series of unforgettable gigs, and undisclosed features that are currently under wraps, creating an air of suspense and excitement. Together, Tony and Noel form an unstoppable musical momentum, poised to leave an memorable mark on the music scene.
